Addressing lung cancer stigma.
Everybody was asking me if I smoked . . . even if I did, that doesn’t mean I deserve to get lung cancer. If someone got colon cancer, you wouldn’t respond, “Do you eat a lot of red meat? You must have a really bad diet.” I just try to educate people. Find out more about addressing lung cancer stigma.
The importance of lung cancer research.
My hope is that research continues to get funded. The people who are doing the work now benefit from the work that was done 20 years ago, and we’re going to benefit from that, and so on.
The strength of a lung cancer loved one.
My wife is amazing. I’m up in bed recovering, she’s working, and she’s taking care of the kids and doing everything that has to be done around the house and paying the bills, and so, thankfully, I had her.
